Jun ‘06-Nov ‘07Emergency Beachwalk Construction Bypass Line – C & C of Honolulu
Department of Wastewater’s response to an emergency discharge of sewage into the Ala Wai Canal.
- Stake the jacking and receiving pits for microtunneling of two four-foot force mains running beneath the Ala Wai Canal from the canal’s mauka side to the Waikiki Kaiolu pump station.
- Monitor settlement markers and report settlement results on:
- the historic Ala Wai Canal wall and
- a 1,600-foot base line established on the Ala Wai Boulevard sidewalk.
- Monitor tiltometers and report settlement results on the Kaiolu wastewater pump station building.
- As-built and map the topography for design of several temporary pumps and 4-foot (1,600 LF) piping along Ala Wai Boulevard sidewalk.
- As-built topography for design of Ala Moana Park pump station force main hookup.
- As-built newly constructed microtunnels and layout piping and valve connections to the existing Kaiolu wastewater pump station and force main.
- As-built newly constructed and connected Kaiolu makai/receiving pit for catwalk platform fabrication.
- Layout the permanent multilevel catwalk in the Kaiolu makai/receiving pit.
- Stake permanent roadway, curbing, sidewalk with ADA pedestrian curb ramps and access door when the Kaiolu makai/receiving pit was sealed.
Feb ‘07-Oct ’07 Niu Valley Sewer Force Main Reconstruction – C & C of Honolulu
Department of Wastewater’s upgrade to their existing system.
- As-built a newly constructed directionally drilled force main.
- As-built the interior features of the three-story underground Niu Valley pump station.
- Analyze and determine the directionally drilled force main and Niu Valley pump station locations for piping and valve connection staking.
- Layout curbing and parking lot improvements.
